Let us introduce ourselves

About Us

Ailby Stud Farm is still under development having been established in April 2015 when we purchased Ailby House.
We are located about a mile outside of the small market town of Alford on the East Coast of Lincolnshire.

Breeding horses is in my genes as my grandma ran the Wharley Stud in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, breeding Welsh section A ponies.
After falling in love with a stallion at a competition in 2013, I made the impulsive decision to buy a competition stallion and start a breeding programme of my own : Zandor (Dudie), a then 12 year old show jumping warmblood, who was already established and could teach me the ropes.

With the purchase of Ailby House in 2015, Ailby Stud Farm was born and the rest they say is history.
Its been a rollercoaster of a journey, with lots of highs and lows, however we have slowly developed our breeding lines.

In 2017 we started standing Puzzles Starstuck alongside Zandor III.

In 2022 our first retained homebred stallion Ailby Calypso achieved Licensed status with Breeders Elite, and welcomed his first foal in 2025.

In late 2023 we purchased Kansas II Z to expand our bloodlines and welcomed his first foals in 2025.

Our aim is to breed quality youngsters for a variety of disciplines that are suitable for the amateur and professional riders alike, whilst offering a quality stud service for our clients.

We offer excellent rates of livery for mare owners using any of our stallions.
Our stallions are always available to view anytime with no obligation to use them.
